A friend of mine started “Friday Photo Flashback” because of having so many pictures from her PRE-digital camera days. She thought it would be fun to scan them and share them here with you. I’m having so much fun doing this, that I would love for you to join me, too! So dig out the photo albums and put your scanner to good use! Don’t forget to sign in to MckLinky so we can all visit and comment on each others blogs!  I personally think it’s a great idea, and sounds like fun!  I totally love old pictures.  Hey I use to have a camera like that.

This is my family when I was little.  My Aunts & Uncles and Grandma (NaNee) on the right, and Grandpa all got together every Sunday for a big Italian dinner.  My grandmother was from Palermo, Sicily and was a most fantastic cook.  We always had spaghetti as other people have soup for an appetizer.  Then would come the three course meal, and you wonder why Italian people are chubby!  LOL  I truly miss those days when the whole family got together without fail.  We were tight, but since my grandparents died now we only see each other at weddings and funerals.  Very sad how families grow apart.

Are you a blogger over 40? Yeah, welcome to the club!
Please join in the fun and get to know your fellow bloggers at Never Growing Old!!

Those were the days of love. I love that in our country families come together like that all the time too. or used to.
It is sad that here in America, to me , it seems everyone is so focused on being alone and away.

Great memories to keep and share with your family.

Yes it seems the family one see each other at weddings and a new baby birth….funeral.

I prefer a relationship than just weeping at the grave.

What a special photo to treasure! I love those Italian meals. I grew up on Long Island, NY and most of my friends were Italian. They would have courses of food that I loved.

    Blessings and love,

I only see my fam then sometimes at a B-day and everyone complains they never see anyone =)

Actually, we just went through that last week.
Bummer- no linky posted this week.

Also stopping by to thank you for posting Friday-Follow.

    Have a great Friday!

I found you on Follow Me Friday.
I love reliving the past with old photos. Unfortunately, my brother took them all from my mom’s house, and I only have a few.
I only have a few cousins left on my side, and yes, it is sad that we never see each other.
I just live each day trying to make happy memories with my kids and grandkids.

Fun picture. Reminds me of dinner at my grandma’s.

Thanks for stopping by to say hi! I see you do as many Friday memes as I do 🙂 Have a great weekend!

Sad to say that my answer is yes. I wonder if its because our generation has so much on our plates, that we don’t make the time to see extended family members. I remember as a child, we would visit family every weekend, my dad had 7 brothers/sisters so it was routine to get together with them often.

Mmmm..I can imagine all the good eats your grandma would cook!!!!!! I LOVE Italian food!!!!!!

I love the picture! It’s always fun to see black and white photos from years ago! I bet that food was yummy!
I usually see relatives during Christmas time so it’s once a year I see them. I’m sure it’ll change when I get older! Have a great rest of the weekend!

no we see each other more than that!!LOL but my fam not so big!!
Ps I have missed you!I hope you are having fun!!!

No we see each other yearly and sometime more.
