A friend of mine started “Friday Photo Flashback” because of having so many pictures from her PRE-digital camera days. She thought it would be fun to scan them and share them here with you. I’m having so much fun doing this, that I would love for you to join me, too! So dig out the photo albums and put your scanner to good use! Don’t forget to sign in to MckLinky so we can all visit and comment on each others blogs!  I personally think it’s a great idea, and sounds like fun!  I totally love old pictures.  Hey, I use to have a camera like that.  ~hehe~  Please come join us – it’s really a lot of fun.  Just sign up to my friend’s linky at Friday Photo Flashback (see link above).  You’ll love walking down memory day – just as I do!

These are my mom’s sisters.  My Aunt Tillie, and my Aunt Nina in May of 1956.  The little boy in the corner is about three, and is my cousin Tommy my Aunt Tillie’s first born, and who is about 62 years old today.  My Aunt’s are gone, but here is my cousin Tommy and his baby sister Sandy today.

Are you a blogger over 40? Yeah, welcome to the club!
Please join in the fun and get to know your fellow bloggers at Never Growing Old!!

“In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So here on Fridays we’re taking it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’m asking a simple question for you to answer & nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at the very friendly place of Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends and find new followers!

My question is:  Do you have a nick-name?  You know maybe one your parents gave you or your husband that just stuck?

My nick-name is Dolly.  My Dad said the story goes that when my dad saw me in the nursery my crib was in the corner with all the toys, and when he looked in there the nurse said it was the corner crib on the right, but that’s also where the toys were.  He asked the nurse, and she wheeled me to to the window & he said he thought I was part of the toys, and thought I was a doll.  Thus the nickname Dolly.

I’m also joining in with Friday Follow. So if you happen to visit and follow me, I will definitely be following you back!  Everyone needs more followers, and I love making new friends!

Your aunts look like they were alot of fun! And it’s so neat to see a current picture of your cousin!! So glad you joined again this week, and I linked you up since I was soooo late doing this!!

Oh…and when I was little, my parents called me “Alice” and till this day, they still do!

That picture is so cute… 🙂

I’m in from Java’s FF, have a great weekend,
    aloha from Casablanca!

I have 2 nicknames. The first is what my mom calls me and that is Cher. And the 2nd is “Mash” which I got from coworkers years ago. It is the beginning pronounciation of my last name.

    Crisc (Chrissy) =)

Whew! You are a busy lady on Friday! I came for the photos though and I LOVE yours! They look like they are having a good laugh at something. Thanks for sharing and feel free to link-up in my Old School Photo linky too!

I love looking through old photos. 🙂

I don`t really have a nickname IRL, but on bloggyland, because Buckeroomama is such a long word, some of my bloggy friends have taken to calling me B-Mama! 🙂

    Dee is my nickname!

I’m loving Aunt Tillie’s dress – so 1940’s. Funny how some people -like your cousin Tommy and his sister – turned out to be cute adults. It’s almost like I can still see the kid in both him and his sister’s face. Great old pictures Dolly. Okay, let the blog hopping begin. Enjoy your weekend!

When I was in high school I somehow got dubbed with the nickname “Sati” – kind of random but it STUCK. My best friend in high school also called me “sunshine” but only she calls me that and most people no longer call me “sati” except for a lone few. Luckily lol

    Cute shot!

My nickname is Mel (short for Melanie).

    Just mom these days.

    Have a great Friday!

Following you from Follow Friday Over 40. I would appreciate it if you could stop over and follow me back. Terry
    My Journey With Candida

We both have many silly names we call eachpother, the current one he calls me is Mappy, hahahah!

I love that you still have those photos. Your aunts seems to enjoy each other.

And look at Tommy now! Are you close with him?

And no I don’t really have a nickname. Unless you count Col or Callie.

    I have a couple nick names…
At my old job they just called me by my initials…

I also have some older pictures of my mom, her cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. They are getting so old and I really need to scan them. I also need to duct tape my mom to a chair and make her look at them to tell me who the people in the pictures are. From what information I’ve gathered so far I have quite a few cousins, I just don’tknow them. Great pictures of your family and it’s great that you are able to have a relationship with them. I want to follow you but it is through facebook and I don’t want to mix my facebook friends with my blog friends. But I will be checking in with you very often if you don’t mind. I did grab your button though. Have a great weekend.

Hi its me again… I found a way to follow you that is not through facebook. I am now a follower.

It’s great to have pictures filled with memories. =) I love how you got your nickname!!

    Thanks for coming by,

    Have a lovely weekend!

Love your photos that you shared! I love looking at old photos and that is great that you shared a photo of your cousin now :o)

I love the story of how you got your nickname! How sweet! :o) My nickname that my parents, brother, sister and family on my mom’s side all still call me is “Bing”…like in Bing cherries…It is actually a popular nick name given to many little girls in the Philippines. I have no idea why :o) …now there is that search site :o)

I am finally gettting a chance to stop by Friday Photo Flashback… and yikes! It is already almost time for another!

    Blessings & Aloha!
I would love it if you get a chance to stop by my place :o)
