I usually take my Corn Beef & cook it in the Crock Pot on Low half the day!  I put it in there with a little bit of water (whatever the pkg. says), and then the seasoning in the package, put the lid on and go SHOPPING!  Yep, then after five or six hrs. on low I take it out and slice it thin with the electric knife, get the dark rye out and build.  So some corn beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese (then I put it in the microwave for a half a minute to melt it)  a little thousand island on the side and WAH LAH a full fledge Reuben!!!  Especially in this hot weather – no real cooking involved.

And speaking of hot weather, summertime & parties!  Here’s a treat for you today!

0.35 oz (small boxI) Jello, any flavor
1 cup boiling Water
1 cup Vodka

Dissolve jello with 1 cup boiling water, add 1 cup vodka and srir,
pour into shot glasses, ice trays, or in 1 oz plastic cups found at
party supply stores (they even have little lids for them), chill until
firm. Each person can use a knife or their tongue to loosen the edges
of the jello and then suck them down. If you use the 1 oz plastic cups
and lids you can serve them by placing all of the cups in a large bowl
filled with ice…they will stay cold longer, and they look really
festive! * Try making an assortment using several flavors of jello!
