So here’s my riddle: 1. What is everybody in the world doing at the same time? 2. What has two heads, six feet, one tail, and four ears? (Answers are at the bottom of the page).
This is my oldest son Tony doing a speech at the Hilton Chicago Downtown back in 1982 when he was ten. He was in Glenwood Military School for boy! I was so proud of him, and still am.
During that time, I was just a Single Mom Working trying to pay tuition and supporting three other kids because I got no help from any where much less want any. I am a very proud person & plus I was going to school because I knew I couldn’t do this the rest of my life. It was really hard strenuous work. It was a place called, “The Old Barn”. Believe it or not it was fine dining! 1989/90. I was studying to go back to work in the office, and decided on a law firm. Believe it or not this was such a fun time in my life. Many girls there were single Moms or just Moms with a lot of kids working for extra money. We were all very good friends and help one another out with many things, and we also partied together at least once a week! GOOD TIMES, but HARD work!
This week’s theme is This Land is your Land! Let’s share our homelands with one another!
1. What country are you from / do you currently live in? I am from the good ol’ U.S.A. and I was born & raised in Chicago, Illinois and I still live in Illinois.
2. How much of that country have you visited? Oh my, until I met my husband I had visited Wisconsin, San Francisco, CA and Belen, New Mexico, and some where in North Carolina, but I was too little to remember that, and oh yes, I did go to Memphis, Tennessee & Litchfield, Kentucky once too, but since I met Dave I’ve been to Indiana Beach on Lake Shaffer & Merrilleville, Indiana, Sandusky, Ohio, St. Louis, Missouri, Orlando, Florida, and Williamsburg, Virginia.
3. Which part of the country would you love to visit next? Orlando, Florida
