So, this week’s theme is from Rory Bore (Time out for Mom): Music videos that feature a celebrity/celebrities in them.  You could include music videos that are the theme song from a movie too – since it would likely have clips from the movie with the stars.

So far this is what I’ve found:  Kenny Rodgers in “The Gambler”…

And how about “Mary Poppins”!

    Great picks this week.

I am so impressed with myself that I still know all the words to The Gambler. that was fun. I saw Kenny Rogers in concert when I was young. I don’t remember it too well…..just that my mom said people all around her were laughing because a 7 year old was singing The Gambler and other songs. LOL
Love Love Mary Poppins. And.There.We.Stop 🙂

  4.

Lovely selection. What was that?… ‘for a taste of whiskey I’ll give you some advice’? Ah Kenny Rogers cute! I love Mary Poppins. Guess Shirley Bassey sang Goldfinger at one of those recent Jubilee concerts of Queen Elizabeth. I still keep Fiddler on the Roof DVD and remember If I were a rich man.’ And there, echoing Rorybore, I stop 🙂

  5.

Fun choices I remember my Mum and Dad taking me and my brother to the cinema to see Mary Poppins it was poptastic that Fiddler On The Roof and Goldfinger are always on TV every Christmas and Bank Holidays LOL

    Have a theatricaltastic week 😉

You can’t go wrong with movie inspired music videos featuring celebrities. I didn’t even think about going this route. WOW, where on earth was my brain? I must not have had my thinking cap on. Anywho, great picks for today’s theme choice. All of the James Bond music videos are wonderful! You put a smile on my face with the Mary Poppins and Fiddler on the Roof clips. It brought back a bit of my childhood memories. Thanks, girlfriend – you rock!

  7.

What a fun variety of Movies with great songs, just one better than the other. It is hard to pick a favorite. I do love the Gambler but Fiddler on the Roof I absolutely love, the music is just so great. Have a wonderful week 🙂

  8.

They look like they’re having a blast in that last one! That’s from a movie right? I wanted to see it but didn’t, if it’s what I’m thinking of (the last movie Whitney Houston did?).

    •

Yes, it was Whitney’s last movie. The name was called “Sparkle”, and Jordan Sparks (an American Idol winner) played her daughter. What a perfect fit those two, huh? I haven’t see the movie yet myself. Shame on me! I really want to see it though.

  9.
