Music on World off

Welcome aboard our 157th week of “Monday’s Music Moves Me”!  Now, something new for our followers, and only for the people that actually read our posts will know about these little surprises.  Now it won’t be new and spectacular every week, but it’ll be different.  Maybe it’ll be a riddle and whoever guess correctly will win a tiny prize straight from me or it could be guess what song, and whoever guesses it shall win but only if you put the right answer in a certain place or whoever reads a phrase and put it on their Post in the right place shall win if they read the instructions because maybe you won’t suppose to tell me in a comment maybe you were supposed to e-mail it to me, but you didn’t read it so you lose.  Many do not read the our Posts so they don’t know the exciting things that are coming & besides maybe it won’t be on my blog it might be on a different conductors blog, but it’s up to you to find out.  We’re not going to do the work for you!  It’s only for 4M players too.  So remember to skim cuz you’ll never know when it’s gonna be.  This week or next week or every week or a month from now.  You just won’t know! Oh well on with the show!

notesXmasDolly, Conductor on this Musical trip is back & ready to rock.  Still waiting for a result of a test  got a good report from the doc last Friday & one more week for being grounded and then I get my wheels back (he added a week, bummer).  Co-conductors Callie of JAmerican Spice, Stacy of Stacy Uncorked, Cathy of Cathy Kennedy’s Blog & for the month of September there is no Honorary co-conductor! 🙁  Anyone like to vounteer???

Don’t forget to ROCK & follow everyone & possibly a rockin’ comment!  How awesome is that! Now who wants to take a trip of the life fantastic with me first???

This weeks theme is Becca’s from Everyday Life your favorite Disney song be it classic or from a movie, and the other is from our very own Cathy Kennedy and she has chosen music from the 70’s.  So mix those two together and let’s rock.  First of all no more titles for you guys – you probably know them all by now anyway – go ahead and guess the title and author & whoever gets every single one right will go on my list for a prize & winner will be from random.org, but I guess you’ll only win if you read this.  Gee, I wonder how many people will actually read my post. hmmm Okay, so here’s my most favorite Disney song ever…

Our next one is from 1974, and I can remember singing this one on the corner with my friends!

And then in 1974 a song came out that just rocked everybody and everybody knew the words…

So there was one that I could never get out of my head & what do you think the name of this one is and my last song I want to leave in your ears, head and your beautiful heart is exactly how I feel, and I haven’t felt this way in so very long so here it is dedicated to all of you.

RIDING ON DOWN TO YOUR PLACE BABY, IT’S NO TREBLE AT ALL!!!  Got some new signatures from my friend Faythe at Grammy Mouse Tails.  I want to do a big shout out to her, and thank her from the bottom of my heart!  Girlfriend you know me too well!  Singer.xmasdolly-MMM

Gee, the only 70s song that I know here is just December ’63. I don’t remember the others. Just love Disney songs, and you picked two of the great ones! Have a great day, Danielle.

  2.

When you wish upon a star – classic!! And I can remember dancing to Oh What a Night when I a very little girl – it was a big hit then. (I am terrible with author names…I’d have to Google – but that would be cheating!)
middle two – ya got me!
But Zip-A-Dee-Do-Da has to be the very best Disney song. I remember it so clearly because Song of the South was the the first movie my mom ever took me to in the theatre. (obviously a replay since I was not born in 1946 – LOL)… but I loved the stories about Br’er Rabbit and Br’er Fox. I know it is not received so well today — but clearly none of those negative messages stuck in my head, since I did not grow up to be a racist. this is one not likely ever to get out of that famous Disney vault. but the song remains one of my faves anyways. And it brings back wonderful memories for me.

Well you have pleased me no end this week my favourites Frankie Valli and still touring to this day including here in the UK, and Freda Payne she is brilliant and was so underrated.

    Have a tanfastic week ahead.

How could I forget Oh, What a Night? That was one of my favorites, too. And, yes Band of God is another good one from the 70s, but then I just loved that decade for music. There are just too many solid gold hits from that era. Now, girl…I’m so thrilled to read that you’re feeling Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah good! *big grin* Let’s rock the house down together!

  5.

Band of Gold is my favorite Karaoke song. It’s such a great tune and not many people know it, except the cool music lovers like ourselves. Love the Disney picks too!
