Great song choice Dolly. I do love Kenny Rogers!
    Love the classic ones too.
    Rock on!

  2.

Oh girl – you nailed this one!! Awesome, great pics. I never thought of the Buddy Holly one……and I was surprised by how many songs I actually found. I had to really narrow my list down! ha Glad that you did include one I cut: Kenny Rogers Lady. love that song. I remember seeing him perform it live when I was little and my mom took me to a concert. great memory.

  3.

Love your Buddy Holly choice! Great minds think alike.

  4.

    Buddy Holly rocks

  5.

Brilliant choices Marie your my top lady this week for including Frankie Valli & The 4 Seasons my absolute faves 🙂

Have a tanfastic week ahead and don’t do anything I would.;-)

  6.

    I. Love. These. My favorites are “Hey, There Lonely Girl” & “Lady”. Beautiful, beautiful songs! I totally forgot about all of these. Really! My brain must have been scrambled or something. You really put that retro mojo on me this morning. Great to dance with you, girlfriend!

Oh, Dolly. If you remember Walk Like a Man on the radio, you’re dating yourself. 😉 Oops, I always thought a lady sang Lonely Girl. The Temptations were so cool as was Buddy Holly–such a tragic plane crash. Sorry, but I like Lionel Richie’s version of Lady better. Thanks for posting such great songs!

Hey Joyce welcome to our 4M’s this morning, but I just wanted to mention did you know that Lionel Richie was the one that wrote Kenny Rodgers “Lady”? Watch the video that’s how he introduces it.

  8.

You did a great job sticking to the theme. These are all great songs.
    Happy Monday!

  9.

    Dear Marie,

I hope you are having a fabulous week!

I’ve been trying to decide how to join you for quite some time (love music and have been wanted to do a music meme on my blog for quite some time) but just haven’t had the time to add one more thing. But – for the past several weeks – I’ve been incorporating music into my Inspire Me Monday posts so thought I’d join in that way! Hope it’s ok.

The song I chose is from one of the great ladies of rock and roll who is famous for a “girl” song – but that isn’t the one I chose (didn’t match my theme). I think you’ll like it anyway.

Have a great week and great choice of songs – I particularly love Lady (who can resist a Kenny Rogers ballad) and the beautiful harmonies of My Girl!)

P.S. Congrats Nalia Moon – I always knew you rocked! 🙂

Happy to have you dance along with us my friend & being as you haven’t been around here lately you know I usually join you on what is it I believe Wednesdays & Fridays, but I’ve been in & out of the hospital since August 8th. Back surgery for one and the other is just to long & boring, but I’m back and ready to boogie. The way you did it is just fine. Just sign our linky & look in my side bar for the theme each week, and remember every other week is a freebie. Put whatever you like. woo hoo happy to have you ROCK THE HOUSE with us! Hope you had fun.
