DAncing girlThis week is a FREEBIE, and I would like to share a very special moment in my life. Back in 1980 I divorced a nightmare, but that’s another story. We started a new life my daughter from a previous father who was 10, and then three other children. My oldest son 8 who became the man of the family, and he enjoyed that I think, and then there would have been Angelina who would have been 3, but she passed of S.I.D.S. in 1977, and then there was my youngest son who was 1 year old, and my youngest who was four months old I believe. Without my oldest daughter I never would have been able to take on such a task, but we all stuck together, and I taught them wrong or right we will always be family, and they stuck to it. My oldest daughter finally found her true love & he was a good man, a loving man, and a great husband and now father. His own mother was dying of Cancer at the time, but she made it to see her baby boy get married, and how she loved her grandchildren (even though they weren’t blood, but they were hers & she spoiled them rotten God bless her soul. I really miss her). As I was saying my daughter asked me to give her away, which I was so very proud to do so, and I walked her down the aisle and I gave my beautiful baby girl to this wonderful man. It was a beautiful wedding, and then it was supposed to be the Father/Daughter dance, but it changed to the Mother/Daughter dance and this is the song she picked. I love you, Baby! You are the best daughter a Mother could ever had. Thank you for your love most of all, and all your help raising our family. I couldn’t ask for more.

When my son got married, and he had a special song for me too. When the kids were in the car we always sang. There was a special song my son always sang to me, and it was…
When my Angel died there was a song out at the time that I associate with her because I use to sing this to her when I rocked her to sleep when I had time. I worked so much back then.

Then my youngest son he was mama’s boy (still is) he use to love to sing with me (he still loves to sing and sounds like Barry White, but there was a song that I use to sing to him, and he’d sing a long until he fell asleep.
My last child believe it or not I cannot think of a song that I relate to for her or my memory is failing me. So have a great day everyone it’s time to Rock & Roll together! An old Country Song that I happen to like Tanya Tucker – Texas When I Die (Live at Farm Aid 1985)

WELL THAT’S IT!  TOO ALL MY FRIENDS OUT THERE IN BLOGLAND – WHO LUVS YA BABY!!!  NOW HOP AWAY & SEE HOW MANY MORE TUNES YOU CAN FIND TO ROCK THE HOUSE! THANKS FOR ROCKIN’ OUT WITH US! OKAY I CAN’T TAKE IT JUST ONE MORE THAT I USE TO SING, AND LOVED TO DANCE TOO… BOOGIE OOOGIE OOGIE I selected this post to be featured on Best Music Blogs. Awwwww Dolly, I’m near tears what great stories and songs you have and made with your kids. Thank for sharing. I don’t even particularly love country music, but these are gems. Especially “In my mother’s eyes”. And even Tanya Tucker – whatever happened to her? Sending you much love and hope you’re feeling better.

Love love love that song by Martina and I can remember my mom singing You Light Up My Life. What a great way to start us off for the week my strong and loving friend! <3

That’s cool how you have songs for all your kids. We have goofy songs we used to sing to them where we changed the words. Have you ever heard of “God Bless My Erica?”
