Natural Honey, Wild Cherry, Black Licorice choose one flavor or a mix of flavors.

A bag for home an a new round can for your purse.

I’ve been taking Pine Bros. throat drops for many years.  I first started taking them when I was working as a waitress so I wouldn’t being passing any germs to the public, and then I started taking the honey ones for my throat when I was singing with hubby’s band.  Before I left home I would always have some Hot tea and honey (hubby too), but during the night from all the screaming/singing my throat would start to get raspy so I popped one of my Pine Bros. with honey in my mouth and I was as good as gold.

Now, if you go to their website you’ll find out their history such as did you know how it started? “In 1870 J. Herman Pine hung out a confectionery shingle on 8th Street  above Walnut in Philadelphia and, along with his brother, sold their  first batch of what they called ‘Pine Brothers Glycerine Tablets.’ In an attempt to relieve his own sore throat and those of his family members, Mr. Pine, a former German confectionery maker, determined that by  combining the soothing natural qualities of glycerin with the healing  properties of gum acacia, he could sooth and mitigate the mild  discomfort of a sore throat. Add in some natural flavoring and a  sweetener and voila, Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops were born. “I  have discovered something,” Pine wrote, “which will give quick throat  relief to thousands afflicted as I was.” He added,”Perhaps I won’t make  much money out of this. But I can make people happy, and that’s more  important than money.” Mr. Pine was being unduly modest, as his  “discovery” would become one of the most successful, most delicious and  most unique throat lozenges in the world. Nor has the recipe changed  appreciably since it was first introduced to the public over 140 years  ago.  It’s such a fascinating story… (read more)…

Can you believe they’ve been around that long?  Well, it’s pretty interesting anyway and you can also order them on line or at CVS and many of your local drug and food stores.  I keep them in my desk drawer all the time, and give them to the grandkids when they come over when I hear a bit of a cough.  Wanna see the smiles I get!

Soft & chewy and taste good says my two lovely girls!

Easy to give to kids over the age of three because of the great flavors. Isn’t he handsome. No. 1 Grandson!

I have heard of this brand of cough/throat drops before and I do remember hearing they’ve been around for quite awhile! I trust companies that have been around as long as they have because you KNOW that means they’ve got quality merchandise 🙂

I have been hearing some great things about Pine Bros recently. I would like to try their cherry flavor ones the next time I need cough drops.

Singers use honey a lot in tea it calms down the vocal chords. I bring it with to gigs… well, for Dave. When I was in the band I use to have it all the time cuz they had me reach for those notes that they couldn’t. LOL
