This week’s THEME  is a FREEBIE!  WOO HOO!  So since music is just everyone’s favorite certain dances were made up to go with this music from back in the day with the Charleston, Peabody & Turkey Trot, …

Then I found an evolution of single dances I want to share with you.
Many of these I haven’t heard of (careful bad-language toward the end).

And let’s not forget Pole Dancing…
Last, but not least one of my favorite singer/dancers SHAKIRA in My Hips Don’t Lie, She Wolf and Waka Waka

Wow. How we have changed out moves! I love the old dances – for the main reason that they are so different from now. Certainly dancing is much more sexually charged these days — but you can also see it’s very athletic too. that pole dancer was just amazing – did you see what she could do?! that was like Olympic sport level pole dancing. my husband was very impressed. 😉
    Love Shakira

When I was in the seventh grade, a little boy and I danced the Charleston for the Talent Show. It was one of the most embarasing moments of my life, especially when everyone laughed at us as soon as we walked on stage.

    LOVE Shakira!

What a fun approach to freebie style! It was neat seeing what you came up with and I hadn’t even thought about this…you know dance types to go with dance music. I remember doing the Charleston or at least piece movements. I never knew the whole routine, but it was fun to do and then there was the twist It would be neat to learn some of these old dance styles. I have a little bit of a DWTS hidden in me waiting to emerge. The only problem is I am not a celebrity…but I still wanna dance LIKE a star! I just loved all of your music videos this morning on Monday’s Music Moves Me, Marie! You totally rock!

Fab choices this week Marie The Charleston got me moving and Shakira she is fantastic

That pole dancer was like elastic I can pole dance but not as quick ….j/k 😉

THE CHARLESTON! Right on!!! And the pole dancing… who knew?

Wow Dolly, what a fabulous selection you made this time! From the Cake Walk to the Crip Walk and the NIcholas Brothers in between. I loved that video. And I have a new respect for pole dancers now – that woman was an athlete plain and simple. And who doesn’t like Shakira.

It’s snowing in my neck of the woods this morning. Hope you and Dave are warm and cozy where you are. Monday Music truly moved me today!

I am so very very late! did not get the memo!
I will have something up soon! And visit as soon as I can.

I’m late, too. Still tired after my week of adventure in New Jersey! Got something up finally. Loved the Charleston.

Thanks for hosting! Do you know I almost shared some Dances for Friendship Friday as well? Maybe next round! Have a rocking week Marie!

Running late today…will be up shortly.
Wow, the pole dancer was amazing! I just hated her outfit!

Wow- you really got the house rocking today! I couldn’t sit still – even during the pole dance.
I loved watching the faces in the audience. That should be an Olympic event!

Loved watching the Charleston! All your picks were great! Amazing how times have gone from this to twerking!!! 🙂

Ahh yes I’d love to shake it like Shakira! Oh I’ve tried too. Gosh I need her coaching!

Very good selections you have here Dolly. Makes for a lively Monday!

Enjoy the rest of your week!
