Living in Turkey by Carol Roman

These books are especially great for home schooling.  Carol has written many of these books.  In fact, this one is Number four in a series of world culture, “If You Were Me and Lived in… Turkey” is a Child’s Introduction to Culture Around the World.

It explores cultural differences through a child’s understanding & gives it a respectful and lively treatment of the subtle differences of the people from different parts of the globe that we share.

Join Carole P.Roman as she travels to learn out the people, culture, and customs of the people Turkey.  Did you know that Istanbul which lies in two continents Asia & Europe is the second largest city in the world.  It was recently named, “European Capital of Culture”!

The book tells all about Turkey, the capital for one, what they eat, and what they call certain things like Mom & Dad etc.  They also have “A Children’s Day”.  Love this one!  What they do is take a seat in the Turkish Parliament and pretend to govern the country for a day.  They would even elect a president to address the country on national television.  What a wonderful book this is.

Well, I don’t want to give it all away, but my granddaughter is going to love this one, and the author as a special token sends you a flag of Turkey to go along with her books of different countries.  Isn’t that wonderful?  What?  What’s that I hear?  You want one!  Well, enter my rafflecopter below because our Author has decided to give one of my readers this book.
