This week’s THEME  is  “women in the 60’s thru 80’s”!   So for 60’s I have Tina Turner in “Let me Take you Higher”! (Ike is in the background)
Now for the 70’s let’s see hmmmm, how about a tune I use to sing with a band called Perfect Chaos. Linda Ronstadt in “When will I be loved”! Alrighty then, that was fun and we have one more the 80’s! Oh my gosh, so many to pick from. Let’s see, how about another singer I use to do…Stevie Nicks in Stand Back.. Now, I didn’t do that one, but I did do this one “Stop Draggin my Heart Around” (with Tom Petty).

Hey sweetie, what a great line up of songs you have. I always did like Stevie Nicks.

I won’t be playing along this week since I have so much to do and so little time to do it in. I have two weeks to get a big list of things done before I head out to see my little granddaughter. I guess the month of June I will be gone – but none of you will be forgotten.

  2.

    Thanks for hosting Marie!
I LOVE this week’s theme – I LOVE your song choices – and I can’t wait to see what others have featured!

I’m also excited to share that the next time my name comes up on your magic little linky, I have the PERFECT musical theme! 🙂

    Have a wonderful week!

  3.

Stevie Nicks is great choice!! Love that song with her and Tom. I almost went with a few of hers too, but then I decided to mix it up a bit. I LOVE this theme! It’s about time the ladies got the floor! 🙂

  4.

I am with Rorybore! Excellent theme! What fun I had looking up some favorites! Stevie Nicks – another fun and excellent gal! Tina, now there’s a classy and fun lady!

  5.

I TOTALLY missed the theme – I thought the email just said “60’s through 80’s” and totally missed the “ladies” part. Ah well, at least the guys I picked have ‘girl’ hair…*snicker!* AWESOME choices, Marie! I’m loving them all! 🙂

Should I Stay or Should I Go because I’m Just A Gigolo Livin’ On A Prayer, Sweet Child O’ Mine – Word Up!

  6.

“The most beautiful legs I’ve ever seen,” reportedly says Prince Charles of Tina Turner 🙂

    A fun theme this week.

  7.

How could I have overlooked Stevie Nicks – but I have Tina, only she’s singing “Proud Mary”. This is a lot of fun. Glad to be out on the dance floor again with you this week looking back at the oldie but goodies. I hope Baby wins the contest and I know that’ll make your week. Smile.

  8.

Loving your selections this week! I don’t know if anyone will actually click on mine, but I tried to put some up that maybe not everyone has heard of yet 🙂 You know me! It’s great to be back and I can’t wait to visit everyone.

  9.

A crazy brilliant theme. I’m loving all this music today.

  10.

Brilliant choices this week Marie the only drawback for me is I will be doing Tina Turner impressions around the place all day now..

puts on Tina Turner wig and sings with arms stretched out shaking head “your simply the best”

    Ooops! see what I mean?….have a tanfasticated week 😉

  11.

All fabulous selections for today’s theme, but I just love Stevie Nicks in the 80s and still do. Her voice is so unique. Great dancing with you this morning, girlfriend. Have tunetastic week!
