When I was single the only way I could keep my filing and bills straight was to have a Posterboard among other office supplies. I was stick all the bills up on it with their due dates wrote really bigs and it was hung right up on my kitchen wall right where I would have to pass by it. Well, that worked really well for me being as I didn’t have a desk back in those days much less time to sit down at it. I took two days a month to sit down to pay bills and figure out my check book, and had envelopes I would put money in to save for those bills. My office stationery was a steno pad if my kids didn’t snatch it up. It worked quite nicely for me. I was a single mother raising & supporting four children that could not find a full time job so I had four part-time jobs (one for each child). Hey, whatever works, right?
In the beginning I had my bills in a stack on my dresser, and I would go through them every day practically. Is this one due? Is this one late? That just wasn’t working for me. I couldn’t even save my money properly. If I had a 3-in-1 Planner like this one I would have been in seventh heaven. Check it out. Calendar, and a place for notes even not to mention you could stick bills or whatever you didn’t want to lose. So such was the life of the single working mother with four children.
Well, that may be all over now, but my habits really hasn’t changed much. I still love all my office supplies. 🙂
