What happens when you mix a polar bear and a black bear? You get a panda bear, of course!  🙂

An explorer has recorded some strange animal families in this wacky illustrated photo album by Becky Lam.  These family portraits may not be scientifically accurate because as you can see they are not matched with the same species, which makes some pretty different looking off springs.  The kids will get a kick out of this this playful and imaginative approach to families of all types.  I believe imagination is the key word with this book for sure!  What a wonderful imaginative experience the children will have.  I personally had a wonderful time with the grandchildren when they came over for Christmas.

An Elephant with an Otter? Oh my, their cub is called an “Aardwark”!

or how about a Porcupine with a Hamster? Their Pup is called a, “Hedgehog”! Hmmmm where have I heard that name before?

I personally was quite interested while reading/looking at these combinations of animals.  The giggles were loud when the kids and I were flipping through the digital pages of this adorable book. There are many combinations that I’ve never seen that’s for sure!  My grandchildren kept saying go back I want to see this one or that one!   They truly loved this book and personally I couldn’t wait to share it! The illustrations were truly unbelievably cute and so well done!

What two families would you put together to see what their babies would look like and what would you call it?  I hope you enjoyed my little review of this funny concept, but all true.

I would like to cross a zebra with a small miniature horse, and get cute little tiny zebras that would run around out back. They would be so cute.
