Natural Honey, Wild Cherry, Black Licorice and Lemon… choose one flavor or a mix of flavors.

A bag for home or your car, and a new round can for your purse.

I’ve been taking Pine Bros. throat drops since as far back as I can remember.  My mama always had some in her purse, and my gramma always had a bag wrapped up in her apron pocket.  When we would cough in the house Gramma would be all over my brother and I and giving us cherry drops from Pine Bros. (Wild Cherry).  Gramma would say, “Cover your mouth”, when we coughed. “You’ll get germs all over my house”, she would say and pass out the pine drops.

Now today my husband takes the honey Pine Bros. for his throat when he’s singing in his band.  Honey is good for the throat because I also can remember gramma putting honey in our tea when we were sick and a tablespoon of whiskey.  “Now go to bed”, she would say, “…and sweat it out”.   She knew everything my grandmother.  You think she had an M.D. diploma.  Well, maybe she wasn’t a doctor, but she did know her throat drops for sure.  They worked good back then, and they work great now.

Now, if you go to their website you’ll find out their history such as did you know how it started? “In 1870 J. Herman Pine hung out a confectionery shingle on 8th Street  above Walnut in Philadelphia and, along with his brother, sold their first batch of what they called ‘Pine Brothers Glycerine Tablets.’ In an attempt to relieve his own sore throat and those of his family members, Mr. Pine, a former German confectionery maker, determined that by  combining the soothing natural qualities of glycerin with the healing  properties of gum acacia, he could sooth and mitigate the mild  discomfort of a sore throat. Add in some natural flavoring and a  sweetener and voila, Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops were born. “I  have discovered something,” Pine wrote, “which will give quick throat  relief to thousands afflicted as I was.” He added,”Perhaps I won’t make  much money out of this. But I can make people happy, and that’s more  important than money.” Mr. Pine was being unduly modest, as his  “discovery” would become one of the most successful, most delicious and  most unique throat lozenges in the world. Nor has the recipe changed  appreciably since it was first introduced to the public over 140 years  ago.  It’s such a fascinating story… (read more)…

Can you believe they’ve been around that long?  Well, it’s pretty interesting anyway and you can also order them on line or at CVS and many of your local drug and food stores.  I keep them in my desk drawer all the time, and give them to the grandkids when they come over when I hear a bit of a cough just like my grandmother did to my brother and I when we were kids.  You ought to see the smiles I get.  No arguments at all.  So if you want your children to take what is good for them without arguments switch to PINE BROS. SOFTISH THROAT DROPS!  What you don’t have any you say?  Well, our sponsor wants one of our readers to try them out, so enter our rafflecopter below and get your own PINE BROS.12 piece case of their pucks or bags for the giveaway, and the winner can choose the flavor.  Put them in your purse or desk drawer or your glove compartment of your car.  They’re good any place you are!

I have been using these for years. I love the way they taste and they are definitely priced right!

I’d like to try their Classic Wild Cherry.

coming from someone who is constantly getting soar throats thank you for this share!

Pine Brothers cough drops (never heard them called softish before) have been around ever since I can remember and they certainly do what they are supposed to do! I usually go stright for the honey flavored ones–hey I’ve got a sweet tooth–I also like their original one!

I would most like to try the Wild Cherry, I could have used some of these at work this week!

I have actually never heard of this brand before, it looks great! I love having some cough drops in my cabinets at all times.

I have not seen this brand before. I am sure we will need some throat drops coming up with this cold weather.

I have never seen this brand of throat drops. I will have to check these out esp the Natural Honey flavor.

I saw they had some sort of sweeps going on.

They also have a charity press that has books and then you get a free package of cherry Pine Brothers if you buy the kit. I also learned that they were first sold at 8th and Market in Philadelphia/ I really think the black licorice ones woul be great here.

These look like a great option for a sore throat. I really could use a few right now!

I love the variety of flavors they offer. I have a near constant sore throat and these appeal to me because of the ingredients.

I love old fashioned cough drops! I think I need to give these a try! Thank you for sharing them and for offering a great giveaway.

I have never tried Pine Bros before! I would have to try the cherry or honey ones.

I have never heard of these! They sound like they’re wonderful though. I’ll have to find them when I head out shopping next.

Ooh these drops sound amazing! They look so soothing! Thanks for sharing!

The honey ones are the only brand cough drops I will use. They do not sell them anywhere down here so when we traveled over the summer I found them in PA. I stocked up!

These are a lifesaver during the winter. I love the Wild Cherry flavor ♥

Wow! The Pine Brothers have a charity press. That’s cool.

These are great. I have used since I was a child. That was many moons ago. My favorite was always licorice and the wild cherry.

The wild cherry sounds like a nice flavor, and I currently have a bad cough right now, so this is something I could totally use.

Oh, I would have to have cherry.
I think the words, “softish” is interesting. I liked they have a charity too.

They look pretty nice and yummy. I would definitely try them if they were to be found in my country.

Our family has been using these cough drops when we are feeling bad for many years now. My mother and father gave them to us when we were young children-

I like that these use natural ingredients. I think I would like the Wild Cherry flavor.

Natural Honey, I know the wild cherry sounds so good. But I am a honey fan. I put it in my coffee every morning.

I would love to try the wild cherry flavor the most. these sound like a great product
