How about a little Smokey Robinson in “Second that Emotion”, I was a great fan of Motown back then too! Our next one is The Supremes in “You Can’t Hurry Love” One of my favorites was Marvin Gaye’s “Heard it through the Grapevine”. and how about some Dionne Warwick in Walk on by.. Oh there’s just so many that I loved, but here’s one I really loved by Freda Payne in Band of Gold… and last but not least the Beach Boys in I Get Around..

I LOVE “You Can’t Hurry Love!” My mom was a huge Supremes fan as a kid and played them all the time when I was growing up! I still have it on a few playlists on my phone to this day <3

I like every one of these all which i had on singles when I was a kid although i was a bit older by the time Band Of Gold was out brilliant retrotasticated choices Marie, I can just see you bopping along and back flipping to these LOL ….now that’s something I wouldn’t do…because I can’t LOL

Have a soultastic day Marie see you on WW 🙂

Thanks for sharing this linky, they’re always such fun to get involved it. Great song choices too, now I’m singing You Can’t Hurry Love 🙂

Totally retrotastic playlist you have this morning. I love all of these oldies! Every time I hear Heard It Through the Grapevine, I think about the California Raisin commercials from the 80s. Hardees did a promo where they were giving away a California Raisin with their breakfast biscuits in 1987. I had nearly all of them and left them in my office when I went on maturity leave. When I returned, I found someone took them. Actually, it was my boss’ kids. In away it upset me because I wasn’t asked if they could have them and no apologizes were made it. I think that’s what bothered me the most. Geez, I didn’t mean to turn this into a little rant. You just made me remember is all! lol Groove Monday music, girlfriend!

Great tunes, loved them. Got me going.

How is it that I have been on this planet for 27years and I am not familiar with half of these good tunes. Nice linky

Thee songs will definitely get you moving. I love that song “Heard it Through The Grapevine.” That really brings back memories.

These songs all send me back to getting picked up from elementary school by my grandma and signing along to the radio all the way home. Thanks for sharing 🙂

I adore all of your retro-picks. I especially like the SUpremes! OF course they are not retro to you. Sadly, now my 80’s music is being considered retro! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Music plays such a big part in our lives! Glad I ran into your linky, so fun thank you!

Oh Dolly you are totally rocking the joint! I love the oldies! LOVE! And now that my mom is here. I”ll have to let her listen 🙂

What a cute linkup!! I now have several songs stuck in my head in one big mashup…LOL!

I love this! But now I have songs going around in my head! So much fun as a link up though!

Awesome songs from your 16th year, Marie! Heard It From The Grapevine is one of my favorites. 🙂 Have an awesome week! 🙂

Always Sixteen, Sweet Sixteen – I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman just a Southern Girl!

Oh, no. I don’t think I should mention what was popular when I was 16… Hmmm.. Ace of Base, Boyz II Men and All for One were rocking the charts. I may just swoon.

Great set of songs!! I just love Marvin Gaye. He is definitely one of my favorites!

I love this set of songs! My ears getting to attract more in music especially for those music like this.

It’s nice to see timeless classics here on your monday music playlist. This can really let out a nostalgic monday for us.

Your music posts always take me back to the day! These are some great music picks!

Oh, man. You are old. 😉

I wish you’d go back to posting on Sunday nights. Monday nights are hard for me, so I pretty much missed this hop and find it hard to visit everyone once the work week has begun.

“I Get Around” reminds me of my father. He love listening to this song and dance to it too.

I haven’t heard these songs in a LONg long time. Thanks for the blast from the past.

I Will follow you! Hopefully you can reach your target soon!

These are really some classic songs! I remember hearing them when I was growing up.

I love oldies but goodies songs! They’re classic and those that I hear frequently growing up.
