I remember my mom having that poofy hair when I was little, although much shorter than yours.

1972 – I have fond memories of my grade school back then, First Lutheran. I loved the discipline in that school, and it kept me in line. But I hated when I got whacked with “The Bloody Spoon!” It was a simple wooden spoon that had been dipped in red dye. It was an effective discipline tool. I remember the day when my teacher broke it on one of the boys. He deserved it, too! They replaced it with a wooden spatula that had holes in it. I never saw that one as I was a good little girl by then.

Great song, but his comments before singing were discouraging.

Thanks for the lovely comment!
