• The Young Messiah opens in theaters March 11! Find out which theater near you has a showing on opening weekend.

The Young Messiah is not just a story about Jesus. It’s the story about Jesus and His family. Heading into this film the producers knew this was a fresh take on Jesus and the Holy family!  The filmmakers quickly realized Mary and Joseph faced many of the same problems as parents today!  This is oh so true and the filmmakers definitely had an insight.

As parents we are always face with difficult decisions on what’s best for our children, and even as time goes on and children have children and we deal with the grandchildren we too have the teachings of the Lord to pass down to them.  I read to my grandchildren the teachings of Christ especially around Christmas time when our Lord was born.  Even though my own children did not go to Catholic school I did make them go to bible school to learn His teachings, but to make their Holy Sacraments such as their Holy Communion and Confirmation.  I got the “Why Mommy?” question, and all I said immediately without even a thought was because we our His children.  Children of the Lord Jesus Christ.  “You too Mommy?”  Yes, dear! Me too!  We all are!

The Young Messiah – IN THEATERS MARCH 11TH

Inspired by Scripture and rooted in history, this story imagines a year in the boyhood of Jesus.

Remaining true to the character of Jesus revealed in the Bible, The Young Messiah is an inspirational story about the childhood of the Savior for the whole family.

When the mystery of Jesus’ divinity begins to unfold in His early years, He turns to His parents for answers. But Mary and Joseph, in an effort to protect their child, are afraid to reveal all they know. How do you explain the ways of the world to its Creator? How do you teach the Teacher? How do you help the Savior who came to save you?

Follow the young Messiah as He and His family take the extraordinary journey from Egypt to Nazareth and on to Jerusalem – where His true identity and profound destiny are revealed.

I would love to go see this, but I don’t have any AMC theaters near me, so I won’t be entering this one. Looks like it is going to be a great movie. We are hoping that Mel Gibson will make another movie on Jesus. We know one of the priest that says the afternoon Mass at his church in Laguna. He says that that friends and family are bugging Gibson to make another one on the earlier life of Jesus. Since Gibson uses the mystic visions of Bl Anne Catherine Emmerich as his inspirations of his movies, he would make a very good younger life of Christ. I trust Bl Anne Catherine Emmerich’s visions over some protestant’s interpretation any day.

what an awesome giveaway girl. thank you for sharing this with us you rock.

If I win, I’ll share the ticket with someone else.
However I don’t think our messiah ever had to questions who he was. He knew and waited for the right time to begin his ministry.

The holy family inspires me to remember the importance of support and unconditional love within my own family.

The Holy Family could be used as a Blue Print on “How To” be a family. The unconditional love and support are what a family can be. This movie looks very inspiring.

I am inspired to keep giving my family unconditional love.

The Holy Family inspires me to have more patience, understanding, and love. We do not always have the patience needed to help our children become independent and learn of the workings of the world. I think it is important as a family to use the knowledge that our ancestors put before us and become an unconditionally loving family.

It insprires me to stand with my family through the good and the bad!

This would be a nice teaching movie for our kids. The movie inspires me that families support each other no matter what.

Thanks for the lovely comment!
