Today’s theme is a“Guitar Solo”!  My  favorite one has to be “Stairway to Heaven” Led Zeppelin  My next pick would have to be the infamous Joe Walsh playing Funk 49 Now the next guitarist that comes to mind is Eric Clapton, and the tune that always makes me cry “Tears in Heaven”. Thanks Mr. Clapton for writing such a powerful tune! I too feel your pain for the same reason. God Bless You Mr. Clapton!

Miss Andi over at Music & Words created the award and dedicated it to “bloggers who spread the word about awesome music.”  She started this tradition to acknowledge and link people who love music so much, they blog about it. These are the people who help us discover great bands. I hope it’ll help to feature great music blogs from all over the world and artists all across genres.  John from The Sound of One Hand Typing chose me… THANKS JOHN!!!  You see you have to…

Here are five things I need to do for this award:

  1. Link back to the person who nominated you
  2. Answer the questions with words AND music
  3. Pass the award on to 5 bloggers who inspire you with their posts about music
  4. Tag your post with #MWA, for Music&Words Award so that we can all find you down the line
  5. Quote these 5 steps and the award icon in your post. You can display the icon on your sidebar as well.

My five people that I have chosen are people who inspire me to play more music are:

  1.  Steve (from Be There Today)  2.  Patrick Weseland (from Adventures in Weseland!  3.  Ramona (from Create with Joy)  4.  Michael Golch (Golch Centrals Rambling Stuff) and last, but not the very least cuz I could go on and on 5.  Cathy (from Curious as a Cathy)

Thank you for stopping by, and please follow me under Linky Followers if you do not already.  THANK YOU!

Great choices Marie – have an amazing week!

Good selections and always loved Tears In Heaven – Eric Clapton

Have a fantabulosa day as long as you don’t do anything I would 🙂

Joe Walsh – nice! Not an obvious choice but the man can play.
Thanks for letting me pick the theme this week!

Very nice topic. This one was hard. Jimmy Page is a true legend.

Marie, Stairway to Heaven is a super, classic guitar solo that everyone recognizes. Great song feature for today’s theme! Keep the boogieing going, my friend!

I actually had Stairway to Heaven saved on my list, but had to sacrifice a couple of tunes or I’d be overrun with greatness! 🙂 Love all your choices, it turned out to be a fun theme for sure! Hope you’re feeling better – if now now, then sooooon! 🙂

Comfortably Numb in a Time Warp with Johnny B. Good, a Sharp Dressed Man who’s gonna Start A Band

These great licks make Monday bearable. I love the old ones.

“Funk 49” is off “Rides Again,” one of the first albums I got when I bought my first stereo in ’70. Excellent album!

    Finally finished visiting everyone.
    Very good choices Doll.
Hope things are shaping up good so you can be home relaxing. *HUGS*
