Hi Everybody!  Here’s our second day of the A to Z Challenge of 2016, and my theme is old movies!   Our next  letter is….

Our “H” is for “Heidi” with Shirley Temple

… Shirley Temple in a role that seems custom-made for her, portrays the spirited young heroine of the popular children’s novel, giving her a rich emotional depth and infinite charm. When her aunt tires of caring for her, orphan Heidi is taken into the Swiss mountains to live.  My most favorite film young Shirley Temple has ever made.

Heidi Trailer 1937 Director: Allan Dwan Starring: Shirley Temple, Jean Hersholt, Sidney Blackmer, Arthur Treacher, Helen Westley

also another favorite movie of mine is a little ditty called, “Hans Christian Anderson” with Danny Kaye 1952…

I can’t believe it, but I’ve seen both of those movies – they’re both classics for sure! 🙂

I think the Heidi with Shirley Temple is the best one they made. Then the one with Michael Redgrave.

I have not seen either of those movies, but the previews look nice.

I loved watching these films on our old TV with only 5 channels growing up. Great Theme!

Oh how I LOVE that Heidi movie: Grandfather!!!!!!!!!
