poop

Format: Kindle Edition

At the request of the author, I received said E-Book via Kindle; it was also sent to me at no charge for my honest opinion, and I’m so happy he did because I couldn’t stop reading once I started, and it’s not at all what I thought it was going to be about.  My hats off to the author it’s an excellent book for whom it was entitled for and that was to help others… children and adults alike.

Synopsis:

On the very first day of fifth grade, in a strange new town, and a large new school, he interrupts everyone to bolt out and into the girl’s bathroom. There, down in the far stall, in pain from a horrible stomach condition, he meets a new friend: Poop. The cheery little guy says he’s there to help Liam through a tough time in his life. But what does Liam need help with? And who, in their right mind, would want Poop for a friend?

Poor Liam. OPoop Kindle Edition by A.J. Cosmo (Author) Review

About the Author

A.J. Cosmo would like to state…   I teach imagination and heart to children. For years I’ve suffered with stomach problems. It’s my hope that this book lets children with food issues know that they aren’t alone.

MY THOUGHTS and OPINION

First of all, my apology to the author for not getting this out prior to the publishing of this wonderful book.  It was to help his readers in that… well, sort of an introduction, but I’m tagging up the rear (pardon the pun ~hehe).   I was amazed when I was requested to review this book because I am not an avid reader to be quite honest with you reading puts me to sleep most of the time. Therefore, with that being said I felt with me you will get a very honest opinion from my viewpoint.  Now when I first started reading this book I guess I sort of felt sorry for Liam having his problem with bathroom issues, but as I read on Liam’s character wasn’t quite the person I thought he was and turned into this self righteous spoiled brat in a way, but truly am sympathetic for a child of his age having such problems.  It’s a book I think will help children with the same problem in a personal sort of way, and not only that, but the problems of children entering a new school and the dilemmas they have to face such as bullying .

Although it’s a very difficult subject for both adult and children, Poop kind of helps out so the child can talk about it and show the way for a resolution and shows the child there is an answer to the problem.  Personally I think the book is for both adult and adolescent with such problems and helps them open up about the issue.  This book held my interest and really made my mind wonder as to who this book might help out in my own family.  I love the way it was written in that it made me smile from time to time too! Children’s inner thoughts & problems sometimes are not discussed just because certain subjects are hard to talk about.  With Poop he (?) it’s kind of a likeable guy… uh… creator… uh…  oh heck “POOP”!

I think it’s a wonderful way to adress things with children that we might not otherwise be inclined to bring up! I trust your opinion on the review, and as a teacher will be keeping this book in mind for suggestion, when and if (and I’m sure it will) the need arises. Thank you, Marie! Funny title too, lol!

love the character icon. Reminds me of a game the kids play on app looks like a fun ebook about poop for kids. Thanks for sharing ur thoughts

I think I would have done the cover differently but it does seem like a good book.
I have known children who have digestive problems and this book would have been helpful.

Nice review on a “stinky” subject!

      Naila,

I actually agree with you that the cover doesn’t quiet fit and I’m looking to redo it. Do you have any suggestions? One option I’m playing with is to have a boy with an empty cafeteria tray and the poop icon moved to his shirt.

Thank you so much for the comment!

Everyone, little and small, needs a little help with digestive problems. This sounds like a great way to help explain it to little people.

Thank you to all that comment on one of my more important reviews and that is to help our next generation and friends alike…

Great review!! I think it is very creative when an author touches upon issues that many won’t discuss so its the perfect solution if one’s child has a similar problem.

Very funny! Great review! I know my sister would love this, I’m going to send her the link!

Marie, thank you so much for giving this review! I’m very happy and humbled that you enjoyed it. If anyone has any questions for me I’m here to answer! 😀

Marie, I realize this is a tricky subject to convey in a tasteful way. Personally, I don’t think I’d buy it because of the title. It may be well done, I don’t know and it may help youngsters out. While this turns me away, I’m confident there is a strong audience it will appeal to. Best of luck to the author and for kiddies who suffer intestinal problems. I know that’s not any fun for anyone at any age. Good review, my friend!

Thanks for the lovely comment!
