I wonder what Joe Walsh is doing these days?
I remembered to post for this today!

  2.

    Marie,

Stevie Ray Vaughn had me boogieing in my seat this morning. It’s a good thing because it’s a bit chilly (48º)here, not as cold as y’all I’m sure but a lot cooler than it’s been. Let’s keep the energy going on the dance floor. Have a tunetastic week, my friend.

Great songs. I love Joe Walsh. Thanks for hosting and the dance. Have a wonderful Monday.

  4.

for some reason,I cannot add myself to the blog hop list tried 3 times and failed all three times.

Great selections! I couldn’t make out the video of you and the band. I could see it okay, just not hear it very well. Oh well, what do you expect from a 20-year-old video, right?

Glad you picked a Joe Walsh video that included “Funk #49.” “Rides Again” by The James Gang was one of my early LP’s and that was always a favorite song.

John, actually that video was taken off the TV. Back in the day my camera had this tiny cassette that went into a bigger cassette, so I took a film with a newer camera and this is what I got. 🙁 Oh well!!! Watching it on TV is awesome though. Oh yeah, I should’ve posted Funk #49 too that rocks!!! OOOOOO OUCH!!!! 20 yrs…. dang!!!! shhhhh John… maybe nobody will notice the year… LOL!!!

Funk #49 is on the same video, at the end.

There are services that transfer the videotape to a DVD, so if the original is pretty good, even if it’s on one of those mini-cassettes (and they are a pain, aren’t they?), they can manage it. My brother had a bunch of 8mm movies his dad took of his baptism and when he was a little guy, and I think he had them transferred to DVD or VHS tape, so they’ve figured out a way to o all that stuff.

I think I already told you “Funk #49” was on the Joe Walsh video you posted, so whether you had intended it or not, you did. 😀

Oh, and incidentally, as of right now the box that holds the upcoming themes says this:

“October 23rd our theme is tunes that are about vehicles such as cars or trucks, boats etc.! October 23rd is a FREEBIE & October 30th is Halloween tunes!”

So, Monday’s theme is vehicles, a freebie, or both? Which is it?

Great tunes Marie! I love Joe Walsh. In the City reminds of the movie The Warriors every time I hear it. Do you remember that movie. The song played at the end.
Haven’t heard Linda Ronstadt in ages.
And those military singers were good. That girl did Adele fantastic!
    I couldn’t hear YOU though!
Too bad the video and audio quality wasn’t great 20 years ago. We’ve come a long way Baby! (If you’re around as old as I am, you probably know what commercial that line is from. Do you??)

Thanks for hosting another great week here at 4M!

I’m finally making my rounds! Sometimes, there just aren’t enough hours in the day! Great selections. I really enjoyed Stevie Ray Vaughan and Joe Walsh.
