Marie,
Happy Birthday to your daddy and Elvis! I’m sure they’re having a good ole time in heaven. They probably have the angels rockin’ along today. 🙂 I enjoyed your mewsical tribute and especially liked the Elvis impersonator and the puppeteer act. Why heck, I was surprised by Lisa Marie! She has a decent voice. I reckon the reason she didn’t take off in the industry had to be she didn’t have the right manager telling helping her find the right style. Thanks for the wonderful mewsic. It was great to boogie with you this morning, my friend!
Your father’s birthday was shared with Elvis? Now that’s cool.
Happy Birthday to both your father and Elvis. Great songs you picked today in honor of them. Thanks for hosting and I hope you have a wonderful Monday.
Happy birthday in heaven, Elvis. I have found Elvis is one of the musical bridges between my generation (i’m 65) and our children – my next door neighbor’s son in particular, who should be 26 now, LOVED Elvis. I’m not the greatest fan of his (well I do like some of his songs) but that first Elvis impersonator was AWESOME. And, Terry Fator? I remember him so well from the first season of America’s Got Talent. What a fantastic ventriloquist he is. You rocked this one good, Marie. Your Dad must have been quite a man – after all, he was your father!
Always love a good Elvis tune! Here is to a great week!
My niece is a huge fan of Elvis. Me… I can take him or leave him. Great set list for the day.

Comin’ atcha a little late… it’s been a long day.
My personal favorite version of “Misty” is Ray Stevens’s. Something about the country style and the steel guitar really does it for me. But Johnny Mathis has such a gorgeous voice…
Elvis was unique. These days I’m doing a feature on Two For Tuesday about “The Baby Boom Years: 1946-1964,” and he has twice as many hit records during that period as anyone else. He did everything: rock, country, blues, and gospel. My personal favorite of his is “Kentucky Rain.” He did some of his best work in the late Sixties…
Happy (belated) Birthday to your dad and Elvis! A good friend of mine in Louisiana shares their birthday, too. 😉 LOVE your song choices – I’m a huge fan of Terry Fator, and of course loved Lisa Marie Presley, too. 🙂 Thanks for the dance, Marie!
