OH YES, OVER THE HUMP AS THEY SAY!
The State of the Union Address is an annual message presented by the President of the United States to a joint session of the United States Congress, except in the first year of a new president’s term. The address has been usually held on a Tuesday. The message includes a budget message and an economic report of the nation, and also allows the President to outline their legislative agenda (for which the cooperation of Congress is needed) and national priorities.
The address fulfills rules in Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution, requiring the President to periodically “give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.” During most of the country’s first century, the President primarily only submitted a written report to Congress. After 1913, Woodrow Wilson, the 28th U.S. President, began the regular practice of delivering the address to Congress in person as a way to rally support for his agenda. With the advent of radio and television, the address is now broadcast live across the country on many networks, and thus is also used by the President as a platform to speak directly to the American people.

I agree Ronnie because after last night and the poor attitude on a particular side of the room it made me sick. Spoiled children should be seen and not heard is what I saw last night. If you’re angry with Mr. Trump so be it, but show respect for our “President”!!!
I missed it. But I do know the sate of the union, at least the economy, is doing well.

I watched it, and found it to be a very positive address. I liked his calls for bipartisanship, and didn’t like the way one party snubbed him.
I totally agree with you Danielle. I thought the snubbing was rude and actually ignorant. They acted like spoiled brats, and the President was actually calling out to them like, “Come on you guys lighten up”. He tried so desperately to bring the House together. It made me actually angry.

My dear friend, thank you for your opinion, and I also agree with you whole heartedly, and I send the same wishes back to you. I really didn’t like (& it made me angry actually) how the other side of the room so to speak acted like spoiled children. Our President even reached out to them & he gave it his all to try to bring the House together. So sad! If they are going to be rude let the world see for what they really are doing. Not disrespect for Mr. Trump, but disrespect for our President!
