Prayers on their way to Callie. I enjoyed this so – I don’t watch that much TV anymore and I didn’t know the Kansas song was a TV theme (I loved Kansas back in the 1970’s when I lived in – well, Kansas!) I wasn’t familiar with Welcome to Burlesque, either. It was wonderful to see what you did with my theme. Thank you thank you! (and if you could take my extra link off – force of habit, I forgot I was on there already. Oops!)
Can’t go wrong with the Pink Panther theme. It’s iconic.
Nice choices , I love Armageddon and that song. Have a great week, thanks for hosting.
A great theme and you picked some great music. Thanks for hosting and I hope you have a wonderful Monday.
Marie,
You sure got the party started with the Kansas “Carry On Wayward Son”. This theme totally is the bomb! Aerosmith is another fabulous tune to get the move in my groove. Thanks for sharing the dance floor with me today, girlfriend. Have a tunetastic week! 😉
I enjoyed both the Pink Panther and Gold Finger. I went with TV Themes
Hi Marie,
First let me say that I most definitely will keep Colette in my prayers. I hope everything will be better for her soon. d
Now for your selections: I LOVE the show Supernatural! Or I should say “Loved” that show. It certainly has the best soundtrack! So many great classic rock songs are featured in that show. I haven’t been watching the latest seasons. I really preferred the earlier seasons with each episode being a different supernatural force or “monster” to fight. Honestly, I kinda got tired of the direction the show took with the Christian mythology and the angel Castiel (although I like the character and I think Collins is a good actor) and Sam ended up in Hell and then the series just took the direction of a full-blown storyline that had to be followed very closely, where you couldn’t really miss an episode or you’d be lost. I preferred it when each episode was essentially different and not dependent on the episode before it. Does that make sense? I will say that I adore Kurt Fuller, the actor who portrays Zachariah and Jim Beaver as Bobby Singer. And I love love love that ’67 Chevy Impala!!! I would love to have that car!!!
Did you know that Jensen Ackles (Dean) and his family opened a brewing company here in Austin? It’s on the outskirts of Austin in a town called Dripping Springs. I can’t wait to go to it! Jared Padalecki (Sam) is an Austinite too! https://austin.eater.com/2017/7/25/16020960/supernatural-jensen-ackles-brewery-texas-family-beer-business-co
As for your other picks: I love me some Pink Panther! The theme song is amazing.
I never saw Armageddon and had no idea Aerosmith was involved! Never heard that Aerosmith song either. When is it from? What album?
I also never saw Burlesque (or Chicago for that matter), both of which are on my To See List. I like the songs you showcased from the movie.
Great post Marie! Hope you’re having a good week. Keep us updated on Colette!

Bummer, lost my reply I was working on.. so here we go again. LOVE, SUPERNATURAL… AND SOUNDTRACK… really good. I too hate when the previous episode matters. BUMMER! Personally I love all characters except one. They fit their character as if they were them in real life for sure. The one I don’t like is that demon’s mother (redhead – can’t remember her name), and him was close with Dean & Sam, but as I said he’s gone now… she isn’t! She’s a redhead and weird. Nope didn’t know about Dean’s family’s business. Do they splatter his pic everywhere on the business??? Also, Pink Panther is a hubby favorite. Armageddon is a fabulous movie. I really recommend it & Steve Tyler in Aerosmith sings the theme song, and the end where Olivia is watching the screen and Bruce Willis is there, they have another where her father is there. Very cool! At least with the DVD. I use to have a 67 chevy impala and it was a convertible.. black & white & it was my brother’s (he was six yrs. older than me). GREAT SNAZZY CAR!! LOVED IT. I also recommend Chicago & especially Burlesque. The movie isn’t all that hot, but the music and performances of the music is HOT!!! Love that part of it anyway… darn now I’m gonna have to watch it or I’ll be singing those tunes all day! bwahahaha Whenever I here from my Callie girl (Colette) I let you gals know. She is definitely a sweetie. ALL MY GIRLS ARE! BIG HUGS… Thanks for this great comment & info!
A lot of good ones here. I think half of us included “Goldfinger” in our lists, which just goes to show how memorable a theme it was. Henry Mancini wrote some great music, and “The Pink Panther” is one of his best and certainly the most easily recognized. I have to admit, though, I wasn’t familiar with the others. Hard to believe that not too long ago Christina Aguilera was on “The Mickey Mouse Show.” Compared to her fellow Mousekateer Britney Spears, she’s had little drama in her life…
The only show/movie I was familiar with was Pink Panther with I LOVE – apparently I have some binge watching to do. 😉 GREAT selections, Marie! Sorry for the lateness in my commenting – trying to juggle so much is a challenge! But I’m getting it done! 🙂 Hope you’ve had an awesome week – see you on the dance floor tomorrow (or, you know, sometime this week…heh!!)
