How to Advertise Your Business at a Trade Show?

When planning to advertise at the next local trade show, be sure to have good presentation, offer free product samples, and use advertising banners to promote your booth.   If your company has a booth at an upcoming trade show, it’s important that you prepare beforehand.  Fortunately, there are plenty of ways you can advertise your business at the show, such as using advertising banners and handing out free product samples, but it’s necessary to know what you want to do and prepare your materials before the start of it. Here are a few ways you can work to advertise your business at the next local trade show.

Why Advertise at a Trade Show?

Advertising at a local trade show can present your brand to the community and meet with businesses that can take advantage of your products and/or services. Using advertising methods at the next local trade show can help you meet your target audience face-to-face and boost conversion rates company wide. Although it may seem tedious and cost resources, it’s well worth it to advertise at the next trade show in the area. Now all you have to do is find a local trade show in your community that fits your brand’s industry.

Have Good Presentation

One of the most important and best ways to advertise your booth at an upcoming trade show is to give a good representation of your brand. This shows that you are a reputable company and worth doing business with. Although some other booths may influence a laid-back, welcomed approach, if you put yourself above the competition, it will pay off. Having good representation means wearing a company uniform, acting respectful to all visitors at the booth, and showing generosity and kindness.

Free Product Samples

Handing out free product samples at a trade show is one of the most effective ways to meet new prospective clients and get the brand out there among the crowd. Make sure to have a large collection of free samples before the event and have backup free company merchandise, such as tee shirts and hats to hand out to visitors.

Advertising Banners
Another form of advertising that is both effective and affordable is putting up advertising banners at your booth. This will help you get ahead of your competition and look more attractive to the crowds of people at the event. Whether you use the title of your company or your brand’s slogan on the advertising is up to you, but it’s probably best to use both to get the audience wrapped up in your brand.

  1. Wow! I had no idea. Thank you for all the great and useful information. You really know your stuff. Thank you. This will come in handy.

  2. Yup…I know all about this. Done marketing for a lot of new companies and trade shows. Free samples are the best way of advertising I believe.

  3. These signs would definitely garner some attention from a passerby at a trade show.

Believe or not, but I have been to a few trade shows to sell something – a whey based beverage. We were helping out a woman who lived up the street from us. Had fun and I actually sold a few packages. I wasn’t able to snag people to get a case of the stuff nor find anyone who wanted to get on automatic shipments. It was good stuff, too, until they took out the coconut oil and made it basically fat free. Tasted terrible after that.
