Welcome Spring Equinox

First off, we just got home from St. Peters, Missouri where my youngest daughter lives.  It was a 5 and a half hour drive.  Dang……. glad that’s over, but when we finally got there it was really dark so we didn’t get to see much going there although we did go over the bridge when we crossed the Mississippi (got to see it on the way home).  We saw my daughter’s new townhouse and it’s lovely.  Plus my grandson turned 11 yrs. old (or shall on the 24th) and she hired a magician who was quite clever I must admit and I’ll show a video of him next week and he also made balloon figures.  He was very good.  Here are some of the pics of everyone having tons of fun even my hubby, daughter and a friend and of course… “THE CAKE”!

Now here is my

 Kaleidoscope Shawl!

Yes, I know it’s not finished.  That will have to wait until next week.  Sorry!!! Due to the above & being out of town didn’t have enough time.

Thanks Ronnie. I’m still not done because I had to take some of it apart and she did see it and loves it, but the color trimming we changed, so no biggy… hadn’t started on the trim yet anyway, but I’m glad she said something cuz I’d rather give her what she likes not what I think she likes. Thanks for stopping by girlfriend! hugs

    Marie,

Our trips back to where DH’s parents lived used to take us about 4-hours. During their later years, we used to go for the day so to not place a burden on them by spending the night. My MIL wouldn’t hear of letting us do the laundry and we didn’t want her to have to lug the bed sheets up and down the stairs. So, on those occasions we visited that was gave us 8-hours of drive time which includes a few pit stops. I know how hard it can be to make a long trip.

Your grandson’s bday party looks like everyone was having a good time. I’m glad you enjoyed yourself and had a safe trip home. It’s nice to see family but it’s even nicer to be back home again, right?

Your kaleidoscope shawl is coming along nicely. There was a woman back home who made shawls. I remember one year, my MIL had her to make me a white one in the early 80s. It was still popular to wear them to church. I don’t know what happened to it but I guess I gave it away. Have a wonderful day, my friend!

Awww, but I’m sure you were happy to see her as she was happy to see you!!! Those kinda a trips are long… Guess my youth has gone to sleep… or something that could take those trips… hahaha Anyway yes the pits stops were the best part of traveling… hahaha and OH YES, IT WAS GREAT TO GET BACK HOME AND SLEEP IN OUR OWN BED! AHHHHHHHHHHH in harmony of course… hahahaha Dave is a character. It’s his birthday today, so we’re off to lunch… you have a great day sweetie and thanks for stopping by. Thank you for the compliment on my SIL Shawl… she does like it and we changed the trimming color, but it’s her shawl so I’m glad she’ll be getting what she likes not me. ~ have a great day too girlfriend.

Glad the journey went well. And a magician – a thousand times better than a clown.

Oh, I so agree and the boys had a blast… in fact, I think my husband was just as interested as the boys were. hahahaha…. Thanks for stopping by my friend.

Your family is partying it up too. How fun!

We have to go to Missouri soonish. My husband’s family is having a reunion. It’s about 6 hours. We live in Nebraska.

Oh my, how cool is that… what town in Missouri. My daughter is in St. Peters and it’s a lovely area, so very pretty! We live in Illinois so I guess we’re just an 1/2 hour closer than you. ughhhh make sure your seat can go back… that helps… hahaha…. Thanks for stopping by… Hubby’s birthday so we’re goin’ out to lunch… he’s laid off right now… but birthday’s are special.
