#AtoZChallenge 2019 Tenth Anniversary blogging from A to Z challenge letter

Hi Everyone, and today is the day for the letter “D”, and I’m not going to bore you with a bunch of small talk so let’s get right down to my songs and one movie with the letter “D”!  Have a great day!

Now being that my nickname is “Dolly”, and my blog is XmasDolly why don’t we go to number one on the spot………………..

And now back to our tunes:   How about a little…. “Martha & the Vendellas – Dancing in the Streets”!!! and then we also have

George Michael, Elton John – Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me (Live)

and last, but not least a favorite by Steely Dan… “Deacon Blues”!

I truly hope you enjoyed yourself!

Have a wonderful day!

  1. Marie,

I knew you’d go with ‘Hello Dolly’, I just knew it! Purrfect choice. 🙂 You had me to my feet with ‘Dancing in the Street’. George Michael doesn’t do quite as good of a job on ‘Don’t Let the Sun Go Down’ as EJ but I’m glad Elton performed it with him. That’s what makes this vid so special. I prefer Steely Dan’s recorded ‘Deacon Blues’ better.

Thanks for making me dance this morning. Now to get boogieing with more visits. 😉

Come join me for today’s Little Mermaid cartoon character, Dudley art sketch contribution!

  2. It’s been so long since I’ve been here! Hello, Dolly. That George Michael rendition of that Elton John song is one of my favorite live recordings, ever. Glad I found you again through the A to Z Challenge!
