Thanks for the concert, Marie. Love it! Adam Lambert SHOULD have won American Idol, but he was probably better off as the runner-up. Gave him the freedom to do want he wants and look how well that turned out. 🙂 Lots of wonderful talent showcased here. ♥ Have a great week!

Let’s be honest, if Stevie Ray Vaughn is in the house, then the house in a rockin’. I probably owned most of the early Led Zeppelin collection. They were one of my favorite hard rock groups from the 60’s. American Idol has proven that it can find great talent and America has proven they don’t always recognize it. While Kelly won the competition. Talent like Adam Lambert, Jennifer Hudson, and Lauren Dagel have become major stars without taking home the AI trophy. Have a blessed week.

A blend of old and new today!

What a great set of songs. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Marie! It’s so good to be back in action! Great music set today. Kicking it off with Stevie Ray Vaughan. He died one year before I moved to Austin. He is THE cultural icon in this city for sure!
I really like Kelly Clarkson. And her new song is fabulous. Love the premise and the message.
I don’t know much Adam Lambert music so it was nice to have him brought back to mind. And who doesn’t love Stairway to Heaven?! That song, no matter how overplayed it may be on the classic rock stations, it never gets old. There are many songs and artists that I think are overplayed and they get on my nerves with the same dang songs all the time (Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, etc)….But I’m always happy to hear Stairway to Heaven. Did you ever see Heart’s version during the Kennedy Center Honors some years back? OMG, that was amazing. I can’t imagine anyone else being able to do that song as good as Zep, except Heart!

Hope you have a great week, my friend.

What a great bunch of videos. Excellent.

Have a fabulous day filled with wonderful music. Love you bunches, honey. ♥

Congrats! Believe it or not, The House Is Rockin was one of my earworms, but a little voice said Don’t Use It! So I’m glad you didn’t. Why did Led Zeppelin have to break up? Why? Moving along, I am in agreement with Debbie about Adam Lambert – they tried to fit him into a cookie mold that he wasn’t shaped at all for, and his not winning was a blessing. Now he can be who he is and rock it all out his way. Kelly Clarkson’s new one was good, too (speaking of American Idol alumni). Have a great week!

    Marie,

Stevie Ray Vaughn and Led Zepplein are clearly the cream of the crop of your artist selections that you brought to the dance floor. It’s hard to beat classic rock when it’s time to boogie. 🙂 Saying prayers for your daughter & thanks for the fabulous set of mewsic this morning. Have a boogietastic week, my dear. XX

Excellent picks for today’s theme. Stevie Ray Vaughn really had me moving and grooving. Sorry I haven’t been around much lately. So many things going on, and trying to get ahead of it all.

Woot! We were twinsies with the Kelly Clarkson song! I agree – Adam Lambert should have won, but honestly I’m glad he didn’t only because look at the awesome opportunity he got and how amazing his life has turned out! 🙂 Love all your song choices, my friend! Happy Mother’s Day! 🙂
