Welcome back Marie – are you feeling better? Glad to see you – you’ve been missed! xoxo 🙂

    Hey girlfriend,

It’s great seeing you hit the dance floor today! You must be getting your boogie mojo back. 🙂 That first song ‘Oogum Boogum’ was a fun song and oh WOW was that ever a very young Dick Clark if I ever saw! He sure was a handsome fella, wasn’t he? I enjoyed your freebie playset spinning on the turntable this morning, my friend. Have a songsational week and keep those tunes playing!!

  3.

Interesting choices, the first 2 are new to me. I still have my We Are The World album. 🙂 Thanks for hosting. Nice to see you back. XO

  4.

Okay, so I’m older than dirt, but I was in the 9th grade when “Duke of Earl” was topping the charts. It’s one of those songs that almost everyone knows the lyrics and will sing along anytime it is played.

Mine’s Up I had some fune this week. you will see.

Good morning girlfriend. Great tunes. I love all things Celine Dion. What a voice she has.

Have a fabulous day and week, honey. Love you bunches. ♥

The first time “Oogum Boogum” came up on one of my surveys, I swore I’d never heard it before, then when I heard it I said, “Oh, THAT ‘Oogum Boogum’!” I remember his “Gimme Little Sign” really well.

I last saw Gene Chandler on one of those oldies shows that PBS stations run during pledge drives. Guy is 82 and still at it, bless him. I didn’t realize he’s from Chicago…

“I’m Alive” is a good song and I love the video portions with the kid playing with the RC plane, but Celine Dion looks weird in this, like she’s one of those realistic robots or something.

“We Are The World” set off a chain of records that were just like “We Are The World.”

    Happy you’re back, Marie!

  8.

    Welcome Back, Marie!

Fun choices this week. I really enjoyed Oogum Boogum.

  9.

Hope you are feeling better. Thanks for the great dance with your great songs.

Three posts this week, a lot to celebrate. I don’t remember the Oogum Boogum song but my husband did (and even who did it). We both well remember Duke of Earl – one of husband’s cousins used to sing this song when playing chess to play mind games with his opponents. Celine Dion – liked some of the RC plane moments but it was a weird video – not so We are the World and it made me sad knowing that not all those artists are with us anymore. It is a great video to watch just to see those artists and how they looked years ago. Thank you for being back!
