    Marie,

‘Running Bear Little White Dove’ came out the year DH was born, 1959, but I remember this song when I was a little girl. The song stayed at the #1 spot for three weeks in 1960. I absolutely loved the YT Best Native American Songs Wuauquikuna. It really is beautiful and totally new to me. Sonny James did a nice job covering ‘Apache’ but I like The Shadows cover best because they kept to the original as an instrumental. I think Quentine Taratino used ‘Apache’ in some of his films. He’s really good about using oldies in his movies which one of the things I like about his work. 🙂 Great song set this week, my dear. Have a boogietastic week. 🙂

    Very well done, Marie.

Have a fabulous Music Monday. Love and hugs. ♥

I always liked “Running Bear, Little White Dove.” I used to hear it on Dick Bartley’s show on Saturday nights. And Sonny James’s version is the first I’ve heard of “Apache” with lyrics. There are a bunch of instrumental versions (The Ventures, The Shadows, Jorgen Ingmann, and I think Duane Eddy might have done it). Your other two are remarkable. Great set!

Wuauquikuna is new to me. I remember “Running Bear, Little White Dove” and the instrumental “Apache”. I never knew there was a vocal version. Nice set!
