♥Cathy & I came up with something new to try to get all of our boogie-goers involved.  You’ll find this little announcement on our posts this Monday and you’re welcome to copy and paste in yours or to write it however it suits ya!

Starting this month, all 4M participants will get a chance to be guest host/hostess for a month as we’re going to set up a rotation system.  Not to worry,  you’ll be given advanced notice to accept and submit your themes.  You’ll be placed at the top of the linky party, but if for some reason you can’t actively do the co-host/hostess duties and want to toss in your theme ideas anyhow, then you can send them, receive credit, and join the party at your convenience. This format might change. We’re exploring new ways to keeping things fresh at the best dance party in Blogosphere and feel free to add suggestions.  Just when you thought your two cents didn’t matter, you learn your opinion is valued. 😉
Another thing is we’d like to get more folks on the dance floor. Our party has dwindled over the years. I’m sure that’s largely due to bloggers coming and going in Blogosphere, but I’m going to set this challenge to my readers and again feel free to borrow the idea. 😉
Have you asked anyone lately to attend the 4M party? We’d love to fill the dance floor to capacity! If you haven’t done so, then let me challenge you to hook at least one new person to come boogie with the crew. It’ll be a blast!  WOO HOO!!!

My Cousin Anne-Marie & ger baby-sister Sandy. AnneMarie has Cancer in her Spine area & has been taking Chemo-therapy,

Please pray for them both. AnneMarie for obvious reasons & I love her dearly & her baby Sister Sandy because she’s worried sick about her sister. They’re both full-blooded Italian and those people are highly emotional. I’m only half. Their mother is my mom’s sister. Any prayers you have to share would be much appreciated. Thank you & may God bless you! HUGS

Great collection of songs today. I loved Rod Stewart back in the day and Maggie May was a favorite. A Boy Named Sue is truly a classic and a story that most of us guys are happy to say doesn’t apply to us. I remember how popular Ode to Billy Joe was. It seemed to stay on the charts for ever. I was a big fan of Carole King, Gordon Lightfoot and the whole Folk Rock crew so Harry Chapin was an artist that I really liked. Great songs and stories here. have a blessed week.

  2.

Prayers for the sisters and you too. I always pray for you.

Awww on that cute pup rocking out.

Love the videos. Some of those I’ve not heard in a very long time.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Big hug honey. Love you. ♥

I love your choices this week. Harry Chaplin was the best storyteller. Love the Johnnie Cash song un-bleeped. Still wondering what they threw off the bridge. And Rod Stewart…OMG.

Great choices here! “A Boy Named Sue” never even crossed my mind, and I don’t know why. We’ll probably see a lot of Harry Chapin today: he was the master of story songs. And anyone who grew up around the time we did has to remember “Ode To Billy Joe.” Bobbie Gentry was another one with the story songs (her “Fancy” is another good one, though most will probably know the Reba McEntire version). All in all, fantastic job here!

  5.

Great songs. We both pick “Cat’s in the Cradle” but by different artists. Thanks for hosting.

  6.

Some favorite story telling songs here, especially “Ode to Billie Joe” which is one of the best. (I didn’t choose it because I had a feeling it might show up on a few blogs this week.) I had thought about doing another Harry Chapin song, “Thirty Thousand Pounds of Bananas” which is based on a true story that happened about an hour and a half from where I live, and I really enjoyed “Drinking Alone”. . Johnny Cash’s “A Boy Named Sue” is another classic. I said a prayer for AnneMarie and Sandy.

    Marie,

“A Boy Name Sue” cracks me up every time I hear it. The Judd’s “Grandpa Tell Me About the Good Ole Days” is a good song, as is “Maggie May”. It’s great sharing the dance floor with you, my friend. Have a boogietastic week! 😉
