This Monday is ‘your choice song picks’ so go wild with it & now I invite her too as our Honorary Co-Conductor WELCOME & I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT TIME!  EVERYONE SAY HELLO TO OUR NEW CO-CONDUCTOR!  HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII GIRLFRIEND!!!  LET’S ROCK or whatever you choose…

Today’s theme is  SONGS FOR OUR MAMA’S!  APPLAUSE!!!  I’m excited about this one because a long time ago my mama and I that’s what we did.  We loved to watch old movies together and one of my favorite ones was a Movie with Danny Thomas & it was called, “The Jazz Singer”.  Surely someone out there remembers this wonderful movie!  Anyway there was a tune he sang called, “Hush-a-Bye” that I adopted threw a few extra words in for our own children when we rocked them to sleep, and this tune was each & every one’s favorite tune because they all asked me to sing it when they went to bed.  The two youngest ones picked it up themselves and use to sing it in bed or to me.  Too cute!  Anyway without out further ado may I introduce Danny Thomas in “Hush-a-Bye”!  ENJOY!   BEFORE I FORGET…. HAPPY BELATED MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL YOU MOTHERS OUT THERE!!!  HUGS  I hope you all had a great day!  It’s only Friday right now (I started mine early) and I got two phone calls already.  My daughter the nurse in Missouri because she’s working that day my poor baby, so proud of her.  She has one son & she is my youngest.  Love her to pieces, and my oldest son called first (they play a game every year as to who calls me first and my oldest (Tony) won.  hehehe~  He too is working Sunday.  He works at Fed-Ex.  So proud of my son… you see he’s a work-a-holic for his children.  God bless him!

Okay, up next is a tune by Genesis – “Mama”!    Okay, how about a tune from HAIRSPRAY!  (Hey Mama) Welcome to the 60’s!! Now as long as we’re back in the 60’s my brother (6 yrs. older than me) he use to sing this song around the house and even sing to our mama.  Mama Said by The Shirrelles.. and for our last one let’s go a little country.   How about “Mama Tried” by Randy Travis…

  1. Marie,

I hope you had a lovely Mother’s Day, my dear. I’m sorry to send you belated wishes but I haven’t been online much this weekend. Anyway, I really like your song picks, especially Phil Collins’ “Mama” – fabulous choice. Have a boogietastic week. Take care and be well, my dear!! xx

  2. Nice playlist this morning my friend. While Randy Travis’ song is a remake of the Merle Haggard classic it is still a Randy Travis Classic. “Mamma Said” is a classic from my youth and a song that caused me to hit the dance floor every time I heard it. Stay save out there.

  3. Hi honey. I hope you had a fabulous Mother’s Day. Love your playlist.

Awww on the cutie pies in the video. So precious

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love you bunches, honey. ♥

  4. A little late here (as always), you picked two songs I love – Geesis’ Mama is a song I very nearly picked; in fact it was on my blog and I decided not to use it. I love the beginning – will, the whole song. Mama Said is the other one – Mama was right, there are days like this. Too many of those days! Hoping things improve for al of us, and soon!
