xmasdollys-wordless-wednesday

Found an old New Year’s Eve pic 1993… Dave & I just met in 1991… This was my old house in Aurora, IL… & yes I had short hair!

2016 Hubby has dressed for a New Years Eve special… he wore his tuxedo tee shirt bwahaha

And…. this year 2017!!!! We usually stay home on New Year’s Eve & party together!!!  This year we both had a cup of cheer.  Christian Bros. & Egg Nog bottle.. yummy $5.00 (we splurged hehehe)… & watched the New Year’s Eve ball fall in Time Square.  A smooch & midnight & a slow dance to Auld Lang Syne.  We watch it every year… Dick Clark then Ryan Seacrest, but I didn’t see anyone I recognized this year.  Very disappointing.  The celebrities entertaining I didn’t even know.  We started watching around 10:30 were we too late for people we knew???  No Ryan Seacrest & Nothing in Hollywood or Chicago bouncing back & forth from New York.  I was very disappointed plus Mariah’s gig was a flop too I heard.  Nope this year the New York Times Square was a flop… very sad.  Dick Clark must be spinning in his grave.  RYAN SEACREST WHERE ARE YOU WHEN WE NEED YOU????  Highly disappointed. 🙁

O-M-G!  Her hair is sky high and those adorable children… she’s trying to get that little boy under control ~snicker~  It ain’t gonna happen mama, I know because that’s me!  Now that little cutsie pie in yellow is the woman on the right… my oldest daughter with her oldest son who has already given me a great grandson, Alex.

Cook

Orange-Sage Pork Chops

Orange-Sage Pork Chops

 Ingredients
  • 4 boneless center cut pork chops, 1/2-inch thick (about 1 1/4 lbs.)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cracked black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!® Spread, divided
  • 1 large orange
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh sage leaves

Directions

  1. Season chops with salt and cracked black pepper. Melt 1 tablespoon I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!® Spread in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and cook chops, turning once, until done, about 8 minutes. Meanwhile, grate 1 teaspoon peel and squeeze 1/4 cup juice from orange. Remove chops to serving platter and keep warm.
  2. Melt remaining 1 tablespoon Spread in same skillet over medium-high heat. Add orange juice and bring to a boil, scraping brown bits from bottom of pan. Boil 1 minute or until mixture reduces slightly. Remove from heat and stir in sage and orange peel. Drizzle over chops.
  • TIP: For a delicious variation, substitute lime for the orange and cilantro for the sage!  **I got this recipe from Ican’t believe it’s not butter website.  Doesn’t it sound great?
