I have been gone for two weeks.  I’ve tried putting up recipes and no one came.  Guess I didn’t get the word out good enough.  So I think This will be my last Friday of Recipes, Flashback & Let’s be Friends and change my fridays to reviews & give-aways day like my Thursdays are.  Oh I might be around if I don’t have a review to do, but no linky.  I won’t bother you for that.  Have a great weekend everyone.  I really enjoyed bringing my recipes and old pictures to you very much, but guess no one is interested.  Hugs to all!
My recipe for today is Beef Stew!  As you can see here are my ingredients below.  I guess the secret ingredient that I use is the beef bouillon cubes.  I bread my meat in flour & spices *garlic, seasoned salt & pepper, meat tenderizer.  Chop up my veggies as you see here & let it cook for an hour & simmer until dinner.  ENJOY!  Oh & the video you see below is the second half of my video & an old one at that!  Have a great weekend

  artichoke

A little recipe my gramma use to make! Stuffed Sicilian Artichokes … a delicious and tasty appetizer.

Ingredients – Serves 4 persons

8 – Medium sized artichokes

1 Lb – Plain bread crumbs

1/4 Lb – Grated Grana Padano or Parmigiano Cheese

2 Cloves finely chopped garlic

Fresh parsley

EV olive oil

Salt & pepper

 Directions/Steps

Clean the artichokes by removing the harder outer leaves and cutting the stem and the top part of the leaves as they may have thorns.

Wash and drain the artichokes well.

In a saute` pan put the bread crumbs and the garlic. Saute` until the bread crumbs are lightly golden. Let cool off.

Add to the bread crumbs the finely chopped parsley, salt & pepper as desired, a bit more finely chopped garlic, the grated cheese and some olive oil.

Mix the ingredients very well until the oil is evenly absorbed.

Take each artichoke, open the leaves as much as you can and insert among the leaves the bread crumb mixture.

Place the artichokes in an oven pan and add 1 1/2 inches of water.

Place the pan on the stove and cook for 15 mins.

Finish off by putting the pan in the oven for 15 more mins. at 400 F.

Gramma always made these on Christmas Eve/Buon Appetito!

Orange-Sage Pork Chops

Orange-Sage Pork Chops

 Ingredients
  • 4 boneless center cut pork chops, 1/2-inch thick (about 1 1/4 lbs.)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cracked black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!® Spread, divided
  • 1 large orange
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh sage leaves

Directions

  1. Season chops with salt and cracked black pepper. Melt 1 tablespoon I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!® Spread in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and cook chops, turning once, until done, about 8 minutes. Meanwhile, grate 1 teaspoon peel and squeeze 1/4 cup juice from orange. Remove chops to serving platter and keep warm.
  2. Melt remaining 1 tablespoon Spread in same skillet over medium-high heat. Add orange juice and bring to a boil, scraping brown bits from bottom of pan. Boil 1 minute or until mixture reduces slightly. Remove from heat and stir in sage and orange peel. Drizzle over chops.
  • TIP: For a delicious variation, substitute lime for the orange and cilantro for the sage!  **I got this recipe from Ican’t believe it’s not butter website.  Doesn’t it sound great?
